Qualifications and/or experience
Conservation Manager at Otago Museum since late 2014. Prior to that Worked as an Archaeological Conservator for York Archaeological Trust, before moving to the Royal Armouries, Leeds as Conservator and then Interim Conservation Manager.
Experience delivering conservation and collections care training to a diversity range of audiences, including developing a short CPD course on the Conservation of Arms and Armour for West Dean College, Chitchester.
On-site archaeological conservation and excavation expertise, in the UK, Turkey and New Zealand.
Part of a NZIPR funded short-term research project entitled 'Promoting Cultural Heritage as part of Sustainable Tourism Development'. Focusing case studies in Samoa and Madang, PNG.
Experience of developing, writing and delivering grant funded projects as well as working in commercial and consultancy roles.
Member of the Local Organizing Committee for the Joint Society for the Preservation of Natural History Collections (SPNHC) and Taxomonic Data Working Group (TDWG) 2018 Conference. Currently Chair of the Local Organizing Committee for the 2022 IIC Congress in Wellington.
ICON Accredited Objects Conservator since 2012 and IIC fellow since March 2021. Past Vice-President and current President of NZCCM.
