Elizabeth (Liz) Yuda has been an objects conservator since 1997 and a full member of the New Zealand Conservators of Cultural Materials professional body since 1998. She qualified as an objects conservator at the University of Canberra and worked in Australia for International Conservation Services, for the Powerhouse Museum, Sydney, and for the Historic Houses Trust of New South Wales, before relocating to New Zealand to work as an objects conservator at the Auckland War Memorial Museum. She co-founded and has been a Director of Artefacts Conservation Ltd. (ACL) since 2000. Liz provides conservation services for museums, heritage institutions, galleries, central and local government, and private institutions. She specialises in the conservation of public artworks (traditional and modern media), metals, ceramics, and glass, and has extensive experience in conservation project management, and in the installation and de-installation of large-scale artworks. In the course of her 20+ year career, she has worked collaboratively and constructively with a diverse array of professionals including architects, urban and landscape designers, engineers, construction teams, tradespeople, artists and fellow conservators.
